What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Our Story

How We Got Engaged:

Her Story Seven months after our first meeting, we were watching a movie when he paused the movie, excused himself and went to his room. While I sat there waiting for him to come out so that we can resume the movie, I saw him crawling into the living room on his knees. Yes, he was crawling on his knees toward me. When I asked him if he is okay, he started digging into his pockets. I guessed he forgot which pocket he put whatever he was looking. He finally brought out his fists and asked me to pick one. I told him to stop playing and let continue the movie. He insisted that I should choose one of his fists.

Our Story
To make the whole thing short so that we can go back to our movie watching, I grabbed his left hand and he opened it. There was a sparkling diamond ring on his left hand. Tears rolled down my cheeks even before he said it. Of course, I said yes.

His Story: What else should I say? When I asked her if she would marry me, she said yes. About crawling on my knees, well, I am taking my 5th. I always advise my clients to take the 5th. Shouldn’t I take mine now? Okay, I was on one knee, but I was not crawling on my knees. That is my story, lol.

How we met
How We Met:

How We Met: It was on January 1, 2006 in the church during a New Year service. We just had a brief introduction of ourselves, since the church service was going on. After the church service, we all went our separate ways. We did not know that we would meet again until about five days later when we met again in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. For a starter, we had our first lunch at a Nigerian fast food restaurant called Mister Biggs at Woji, Port Harcourt (on this second meeting). The discussion was great and we clicked.
